Lucy Tower car park closure blamed for drop in trade

10 July 2013 Last updated at 19:43 BST

Bars and restaurant owners in Brayford Wharf, Lincoln, say the closure of the Lucy Tower car park has led to a drop in customer numbers.

Businesses said trade had dropped by as much as 25% and many customers had turned away when they could not park nearby.

Lincoln City Council closed the 1970s-built car park in April for emergency repairs to the surface and structure but work has been delayed after engineers discovered further extensive work was needed.
