Lincoln Lucy Tower car park to shut for repairs
The council said it would open up staff parking spaces to mitigate the loss
One of Lincoln's largest car parks is to be closed for five months.
The 458-space multi-storey Lucy Tower car park, next to Brayford Pool, will shut from 25 March for £1.4m of maintenance work.
City of Lincoln Council accepted the move would cause problems for business but insisted it would also secure the long-term future of the facility.
Signs will would be put up directing vehicles to other council sites, officials added.
Alternative spaces have also been opened up at Orchard Street, Tentercroft Street and Broadgate.
