Sleaford duck feeders given rat warning by council
Rats have been feasting on food left for ducks
People feeding ducks along a stretch of river in Lincolnshire have been warned they may be attracting rats to the area.
North Kesteven District Council said food not eaten by the ducks had led to an increase in rodents around the East Banks area in Sleaford.
It has now put down rat traps and asked people to think carefully before leaving food.
Rats carry a range of diseases and can damage buildings through gnawing.
