Cyclist and car passenger killed on Lincolnshire roads

Two men have been killed in separate crashes on Lincolnshire roads.

A 47-year-old cyclist, thought to be from Bridlington, died after being struck by a van on the A52 in Sedgebrook at 18:15 GMT on Tuesday.

About two hours later, a 52-year-old passenger died when the VW Polo he was travelling in was in collision with a Volvo on the A16 Crowland bypass.

The Volvo driver, a 39-year-old Donington man, was arrested.

He was questioned on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and released on police bail until 11 January.

Any witnesses to either crash are asked to contact Lincolnshire Police.
