East Midlands PCCs are sworn in

Police authorities in Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire have officially handed over to the newly elected Police and Crime Commissioners (PCC).

Conservative Sir Clive Loader took over in Leicestershire at an official ceremony.

Labour's Alan Charles was sworn in at Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire's new PCC, Labour's Paddy Tipping took charge at Nottingham's Galleries of Justice.

The PCCs will be responsible for setting priorities for the police force and overseeing its budget.
