A former kickboxing champion who admitted having sexual activity with two underage teenage girls in Lincolnshire, has been jailed.

Adam Beniston, 27, of High Street, Mablethorpe, had admitted 11 offences of sexual activity with a child.

Beniston, who is from Nottinghamshire, was named coach of the year at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards 2011.

Jailing him for five years at Lincoln Crown Court, Judge Sean Morris said Beniston had "wrecked lives".

Seven of the charges related to kissing and touching a teenage girl between July and December 2010.

The four other offences related to kissing and touching another teenage girl between February and November 2011.

'Satisfy lust'

Judge Sean Morris said: "You have absolutely wrecked lives. That somebody who is in a position of trust should act in such a way is reprehensible.

"You started grooming them in order to satisfy your lust. You knew their ages.

"Young girls are vulnerable and need protection from their own emotions. As an instructor you should have known that.

"They were too young to know what they were doing and you were not."

Beniston was also placed on the sex offenders register for life and was banned from being involved in any work or recreational activity which brings him into contact with girls under the age of 16.

The coach moved from Mansfield, in Nottinghamshire, to Lincolnshire three years ago.
