Timothy Osborn: Arrest in hit-and-run cyclist death
Timothy Osborn failed to return home from work on Friday
A 41-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a cyclist in a hit-and-run crash in Lincolnshire.
Timothy Osborn, 27, of Pode Hole, Spalding, was found by the side of the road on Saturday by his mother.
Officers said a man from Sleaford was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of an accident, and failing to report an accident.
They also said a vehicle was being forensically examined.
Earlier, Mr Osborn's family appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
Lynne Osborn said she discovered her son by the side of the A151 Bourne Road in Spalding at 00:15 BST on Saturday after growing concerned when he failed to return home from work on Friday.
Police said the collision is thought to have happened about three hours before that.
Officers also said they were still appealing for any witnesses who were in that area of Spalding on Friday evening and who may have seen a silver coloured van around 21:00 BST.
