Cyclist dies after hit and run in Spalding

Witnesses are being sought after a cyclist was killed by a hit and run driver in Lincolnshire.

The 27-year-old man was found on the side of the A151 in Spalding at 00:15 BST after police were alerted when he failed to return home from work.

The man, from the Pode Hole area, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police believe the man was hit by a vehicle, which failed to stop. They are asking anyone with information to contact them.

Officers said the collision happened at some point after 21:00 BST on Friday.
