Man held after girl dies in Welton le Marsh crash

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving while over the alcohol limit following a crash in Lincolnshire.

A 14-year-old girl, from Willoughby, died after the Renault Clio she was travelling in crashed on the B1196 at Welton le Marsh on Saturday.

The 42-year-old driver was arrested at the scene and taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

He has since been released on bail pending further inquiries.

The driver was also arrested on suspicion of driving while over the alcohol limit.

A 13-year-old boy, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was taken by air ambulance to Hull Royal Infirmary suffering from facial injuries.
