Lincolnshire meeting over underground power cable plans

A public meeting is to be held to discuss proposals to lay underground electricity cables in Lincolnshire.

RWE npower renewables wants to take power from the proposed Triton Knoll Offshore Wind Farm to Bicker Fen substation, near Boston.

The energy company said no decision had been made regarding the route and it would continue to update people.

The meeting will be held at 19:00 BST at Irby and Bratoft Village Hall.

A planning application for the offshore wind farm, which would be about 20 miles off the coast of Lincolnshire and could power about 850,000 homes, has been submitted.
