Cystinosis causes woman's eyes to fill with crystals

Help

A woman from Bicker, in Lincolnshire, has a rare genetic disorder which causes her eyes to fill with tiny but painful crystals.

Jodi Smith, now 35, was diagnosed with cystinosis when she was two.

As well as being partially-sighted, Mrs Smith has needed two kidney transplants and has epilepsy, which was caused by a stroke after the first transplant.
