Dead whale washes up on Skegness beach
A dead whale with a large gash on its side has washed up on the beach in Skegness.
The 50ft (15m) long animal had already died by the time it was marooned on the Lincolnshire beach on Saturday.
It was covered with sand while East Lindsey District Council waited for Defra to grant a licence allowing it to be moved.
