Lincolnshire man on attempted murder charge after stabbing

A 45-year-old Lincolnshire man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was stabbed at her home.

Paul Henry of Lea Place, Gainsborough, was arrested after the 43-year-old woman was attacked at her home on Glentham Road in Gainsborough on Thursday evening.

He will appear at Lincoln Magistrate's Court on Monday.

The woman is in a serious condition in Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham, Lincolnshire police said.

She was taken to Lincoln County Hospital but later transferred to Nottingham for further treatment.
