Audi thefts: Dozens of cars targeted in Leicestershire and Rutland

Audi cars have been targeted in a spate of attempted thefts in Leicestershire and Rutland, police have warned.

Thieves smashed the windows and rifled through the glove boxes of 39 vehicles, in what police believe was a search for spare keys.

The cars were targeted in Blaby, Kibworth, Harborough, Lutterworth, Ketton, Broughton Astley, Gilmorton, Great Bowden and Great Glen.

An Audi UK spokesman advised owners not to leave emergency keys in their cars.
