Pedestrian killed on the A6 in Leicestershire

A 25-year-old man died when he was hit by a car on a Leicestershire road.

The pedestrian died when he was hit by a black VW Polo, on the southbound carriageway of the A6 between Loughborough and Barrow Upon Soar.

The road was closed for six hours after the crash which happened near the One Ash Roundabout at 23:10 GMT on Saturday.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who saw the crash or either the vehicle or the man beforehand.
