A man has been arrested after a body of another man was found at a house in the Beaumont Leys area of Leicester.

Police officers found the body in the property in Somerfield Walk at about 16:00 GMT on Saturday, a spokesperson said.

A 25-year-old man was arrested in connection with the death and remains in police custody.

A post-mortem is due to take place and the house remains cordoned off for forensic officers to investigate.
