Driver dies in two-vehicle crash at Tilton on the Hill

A car driver has been killed in a collision with a heavy-goods vehicle in Leicestershire.

The man, who has not been named, was driving a Vauxhall when it collided with a Volvo lorry on the B6047 at 08:45 GMT.

He was pronounced dead at the scene near Tilton on the Hill, Leicestershire Police said.

Police have appealed for witnesses. The lorry driver was not injured in the accident.

"The car was travelling towards Tilton on the Hill and the HGV has just pulled out of the village when the collision occurred," a police spokesman.
