Facebook campaign for horses in flooded Leicester field

17 February 2014 Last updated at 15:11 GMT

More than 18,000 people have joined a Facebook page set up to raise awareness of the conditions they say horses are being kept in, in a Leicester field.

Farrier Mark Johnson set up the page after his son Harry filmed him trying to rescue one of the horses there. The animal later had to be put down.

The RSPCA said it was in contact with the owner of the horses in the field at Fosse Park, after a corpse was removed from there on Saturday.
