Rowan Street stabbing: Three men arrested

Rowan Street, Leicester Police were called to a disturbance in Rowan Street on Saturday evening

Three men have been arrested and treated in hospital following a stabbing in a Leicester street.

A police spokeswoman said officers were called to reports of a disturbance outside a house in Rowan Street, Newfoundpool, at 22:45 GMT on Saturday.

Three men aged 24, 28, and 38 were arrested and taken to hospital with stab wounds. One had also suffered a fractured rib.

Police said they are still looking for more people as part of their enquiries.

A house in the street was cordoned off for most of Sunday.

Two of the men arrested have been released from hospital and are in police custody.

The third remains in hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
