Oakham woman charged in connection with stabbing

A woman has been charged in connection with a stabbing in a block of flats in Rutland.

A 47-year-old man was airlifted to hospital from Derwent Drive in Oakham at 12:50 GMT on Tuesday suffering from a single stab wound to his abdomen.

He has since been released from hospital.

A 40-year-old woman will appear at Loughborough Magistrates' Court later charged with grievous bodily harm and drinking and driving.
