Spinney Hill attacks: Man, 25, charged with attempted murder

A 25-year-old man has been charged with two counts of attempted murder following three assaults in Leicester.

Three people remain in a stable condition in hospital after they were attacked in Spinney Hill on Sunday.

The man has also been charged with grievous bodily harm and conspiracy to commit murder.

Another man, 43, has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder. Both are due to attend Leicester Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

Part of East Park Road at its junction with St Saviours Road was closed following the assaults, from about 13:45 GMT on Sunday but reopened on Monday morning.
