Four arrests over Leicester head injury man

Four men have been arrested after a 28-year-old man was seriously assaulted in Leicester city centre.

Belgrave Gate, between Burleys Way and Abbey Street was closed off from 04:45 GMT for 10 hours after the attack.

The man suffered a head injury and was taken for treatment to the Queen's Medical Centre, in Nottingham.

Leicestershire Police said investigations into what happened were at an early stage. The men arrested are aged 19, 21, 27 and 30.
