Leicester man's death in fire-damaged house 'not suspicious'

The death of a man whose body was found at a fire-damaged house in Leicester is not being treated as suspicious, police have confirmed.

Leicestershire Police were called to 118 Aylestone Lane, Wigston, at about 16:30 GMT on Monday.

The man has been named by the Leicester Coroner's office as 59-year-old David Charles Cross.

Officers have begun an investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the fire and Mr Cross' death.
