Police are still questioning three people after a man's body was found in a car near a Leicestershire music festival.

The fire service alerted officers to a vehicle blaze on Water Lane, Frisby on the Wreake, early on Sunday.

Leicestershire Police said a cause of death had not yet been determined but it was being treated as suspicious.

Two 18-year-old men and a 17-year old boy have been arrested in connection with the death.

The man has not yet been formally identified.

A post-mortem examination has taken place but further tests are needed to determine the man's cause of death, police said.

'Explosion risk'

Det Ch Insp Matt Hewson, of Leicestershire Police, said: "The incident took place close to the Fristock Festival and we believe there may be people who attended this event that could have information which will help with enquiries."

Festival organiser Edward Hutchison said they had tried to tackle the flames.

"We went down with fire extinguishers but when the fire service arrived we were advised to stay back because of the risk of explosions.

"We are devastated this has happened and our feelings go out to any family involved.

"This is a family event and there is a real feeling of shock, especially among those who stayed overnight."
