About 300 members of the armed forces have marched through Leicester in a parade ahead of Armed Forces Day.

The march involved veterans, cadets and servicemen and was followed by a service at Leicester Cathedral.

Hundreds of people lined the route to support the members of the armed forces.

The national Armed Forces Day celebration will take place in Nottingham on 29 June with a parade from the castle to Old Market Square.
