Coalville police investigate reports of serious sexual assault

A woman suffered a serious sexual assault by two men as she walked along a Leicestershire road, police said.

The victim, in her fifties, was walking along Ravenstone Road in Coalville when she was pushed behind large advertising boards at 22:15 BST on 7 June.

The assault was reported a week later and Leicestershire police released details earlier.

Det Sgt Neil Holden said he would like to speak to anyone in the area or on a nearby bus that evening.

He said: "Attacks such as this one are very rare, and this appears to be an isolated case."

The men are both described as black, about 6ft tall, aged 30 to 40, and of muscular builds and wearing dark clothing.
