Arrest after man shot outside Leicester nightclub
A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting outside Thread nightclub in Leicester.
A 20-year-old man handed himself into a police station after officers made a fresh appeal for witnesses last week.
It related to an incident at about 03:45 GMT on 27 December when officers were called to reports of shots being fired in Yeoman Street.
A 38-year-old man, who was shot in the leg, received treatment and was discharged from hospital the same day.
The 20-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday and has since been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Det Con Bill Beechey, from Leicestershire Police, said: "We are still carrying out extensive inquiries in relation to this investigation and although we now have a man arrested, we would still like witnesses to get in touch."
