Loughborough police make nine arrests after standoff

Nine people have been arrested after a stand-off at a house in a Leicestershire town, police said.

Officers were called to the house, on Tuckers Road in Loughborough, on Sunday afternoon after reports of disorder.

The men barricaded themselves inside the house when officers arrived, Leicestershire Police said.

Five men were arrested when they left the house during negotiations with police and four more were arrested when the standoff ended at 23:00 GMT.
