Man charged over pig head at Leicester community centre
A man has been charged with a religiously-motivated offence after a frozen pig's head was left outside a community centre being used by a Muslim prayer group.
The pig's head was left outside the centre in the Thurnby Lodge area of Leicester on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old man will appear in court in the New Year charged with causing harassment, alarm or distress.
Two men and a woman who were arrested on Friday have been released on bail.
A spokesman for the As-salaam Trust, which has put in an application to use a former scout hut near the centre in Thurncourt Road as a community centre, said members found the animal's head when they arrived for morning prayers.
