Reihana Rezayi murder: Accused appears in Leicester court

A man has appeared in court charged with murdering a mother-of-two whose body was found at a house in Leicester.

Reihana Rezayi was discovered in the property at Hand Avenue, Braunstone, on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said a post-mortem examination has been carried out, but the cause of the 23-year-old's death has not yet been released.

Yacoub Rezai, 31, of Hand Avenue, appeared before Leicester magistrates and was remanded in custody.

He is due to appear at Leicester Crown Court on 30 November.

Police said Ms Rezai's two children are being cared for by friends and family members.
