Twycross Zoo arrests: Elephant abuse police hold staff

Three zoo workers have been arrested on suspicion of causing unnecessary suffering to animals after two elephants were allegedly beaten at Twycross Zoo in Leicestershire.

Police said three men had been arrested and questioned in connection with the treatment of the elephants. The zoo said the members of staff had been dismissed.
