Sally Lawrence killed in Oadby crash: Appeal for witnesses

Police have appealed for witnesses after a car hit a tree on a Leicestershire road killing the passenger.

Sally Marie Lawrence, 47, was in a red Peugeot 406 when it struck the tree in Gartree Road, Oadby, on Saturday.

The driver was injured and treated at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.

A 52-year-old man was arrested in connection with the crash and released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Ms Lawrence was the only passenger in the car.

Leicestershire Police has appealed for witnesses.
