Eighty-one jobs are at risk after a Leicestershire car dealership went into administration.

Trinity Motors in Hinckley operates a Hyundai and Mazda sales and service dealership, a used car sales and car parts business and a garage forecourt.

Eddie Williams, Tony Barrell and Matthew Hammond were appointed joint administrators on Monday.

Investors are being sought to "secure interest" in assets, but no decision has yet been made on the firm's future.

Eddie Williams, joint administrator at PwC in the East Midlands, said: "Trinity Motors is a long-established family business which has unfortunately been severely affected by the ongoing impact of the economic downturn on the automotive sector.

"We are exploring the strategic options in respect of all parts of the group with key stakeholders at the moment and are looking to secure interest in the assets of the business if possible."
