Leicester chip shop owner develops dry vinegar
A Leicester fish and chip shop owner has developed a dry vinegar that does not make food soggy.
Lefteris Eleftheriou, 53, who has been running Grimsby Fisheries for 30 years, and food scientists have produced a dry sprinkle that looks like salt.
He said the fourth sample tasted like salt and vinegar and contained one third less sodium than normal salt.
Mr Eleftheriou added he would not make money from the idea, but hoped it would become an "industry-wide product".
