A man has been charged in connection with a plot to smuggle more than £160m of cocaine into the UK on a yacht.

Wayne Bush, 45, formerly of Ormonde Avenue, Hull, is accused of conspiring to import class A drugs.

He remains in custody following his arrest on Monday and is due to appear before Leeds Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

The drugs were found on luxury yacht Makayabella after it was stopped off the coast of Ireland in September 2014.
