Five men have been arrested after a 20-year-old man was shot in the chest in a "targeted attack" in Bradford.

Police said the shooting took place on Heaton Road on Sunday evening.

Four men, aged 23, 27, 28 and 37, all from Bradford, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Wednesday and have been bailed pending further inquiries.

A 40-year-old Bradford man was arrested for the same offence on Thursday and is in police custody.

The victim, also from Bradford, was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.

Police said the shooting was "a targeted attack" and believe the attackers may have travelled to and from the scene in a blue VW Golf car.

Detectives have repeated their appeal for witnesses to come forward.
