Woman's body found under car in Cleckheaton

A man has been arrested after the body of a woman was found under a car in West Yorkshire.

A passer-by reported finding the body under a Vauxhall Omega in Prospect Street, Cleckheaton in the early hours of Sunday, West Yorkshire Police said.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. She has not yet been identified.

A 57-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drinking and driving. He was released on bail.

    BBC Travel News reports that one lane is closed on the M62 eastbound between J26 at Chain Bar and J27 at Gildersome because of a broken down vehicle.
