Man in court over Colin Pierre shotgun murder

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man whose body was found in woods in Leeds.

The body of Colin Pierre, 31, was discovered on 11 March near the junction of Gledhow Valley Road and Gledhow Lane in the north of the city.

Post-mortem tests showed Mr Pierre, who was also known as Craig, had been shot.

Anthony Micah Pyke, 31, of no fixed address, was also charged with two counts of kidnap when he appeared at Leeds Magistrates' Court.

Mr Pierre's body was found in a beck in the north of the city by schoolchildren.

Mr Pyke is due to appear at Leeds Crown Court within the next two weeks.

Trevor Isles, 48, of Highfield Green, Pudsey, and Ian Dennis Wilson, 36, of Fearnville Drive, Bradford, appeared at Leeds Crown Court on 19 March charged with kidnap and murder.

They are due to attend a plea hearing at the crown court on 2 April.

Four other people were arrested on Monday on suspicion of assisting an offender.
