Man in court over Huddersfield car shooting

A man accused of conspiracy to murder following a shooting in Huddersfield has appeared in court.

A 31-year-old man was shot in the head at about 21:30 GMT on Tuesday in a car on Springwood Avenue, West Yorkshire Police said.

Hamed Hussain, 24, of Clara Street, Huddersfield, appeared at Kirklees Magistrates' Court earlier charged with conspiracy to murder.

He was remanded and will appear at Leeds Crown Court on 28 March.
