Kevin Childs death: Man and woman remanded on murder charges

A man and a woman have been remanded in custody charged with the murder of a 58-year-old man in Wakefield.

Kevin Childs was found dead in a house on Park Lodge Lane on 7 February.

Michelle Swayne, 40, of no fixed address, and Andrew Gittins, 41, of Wakefield, were remanded in custody at the city's Magistrates' Court.

They will appear at Leeds Crown Court on Tuesday. A 50-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder has been released without charge, police said.

Six others - four women and two men - have been released on police bail.
