A CCTV image has been released by police who want to speak to a man in connection with a serious sexual assault on a woman in West Yorkshire.

The 44-year-old victim was hit and dragged to the floor before being attacked on Queen Street, Pontefract at about 22:55 GMT on Wednesday.

Police said the man ran off after the woman attracted the attention of a passing car.

Detectives have appealed for anyone who knows the man pictured to contact them.
