A toddler who died after she was found unconscious with her mother has been named by police as Amrita Kaur.

The 22-month-old girl was found outside a house in Delamere Street in Bradford on Tuesday morning.

She was taken to hospital where she died from injuries consistent with a fall, a post-mortem examination found.

Her mother, a 36-year-old woman, has been arrested on suspicion of murder. She remains in a critical condition in hospital, police said.

West Yorkshire Police said they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the death but have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
