Two men have been charged in connection with the death of a pregnant woman who was killed in a dog attack.

Emma Bennett, 27, who was pregnant with her fifth child, died in hospital after the attack in Leeds on 9 December.

Nikki Cook, 29, of Normanton Place, Beeston, and Lee Horner, 33, of Helston Green, Middleton, have both been charged with two counts of possessing a dangerous dog.

Mr Cook also faces a charge of breeding a dangerous dog.

Miss Bennett was bitten by the dog in the incident at her home in Dawlish Avenue, East End Park.

Both men have been bailed and will appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court on 4 February.
