Leeds man arrested over Halo nightclub rape inquiry

A man has been arrested in connection with an allegation of rape at a Leeds nightclub on New Year's Eve.

An 18-year-old woman was attacked in the toilets of the Halo nightclub on Woodhouse Lane on 31 December, West Yorkshire Police said.

A 22-year-old man from Leeds was arrested on Tuesday after voluntarily attending Weetwood Police Station following a CCTV appeal.

He was later released on police bail pending further enquiries.
