Arrest over historical sex abuse claims at Leeds Grammar School

A man has been arrested as part of an investigation into allegations of child sexual abuse at the former Leeds Grammar School.

The 67-year-old was arrested in the Rochdale area by officers from West Yorkshire Police.

The alleged offences are said to date from the late 1980s and early 1990s when the school was based at Woodhouse Moor, Leeds.

The man has been released on bail pending further inquiries, police said.

Det Insp Lawrence Bone said: "Our investigation is ongoing and we would appeal for anyone who has any information that could assist the investigation to contact us immediately."
