Police probe attack link to Selby caravan death

Police at the scene Police have appealed for witnesses

Police are investigating whether a man found dead at a caravan park in North Yorkshire had been attacked.

The 23-year-old was found unconscious in a caravan at the The Ranch Caravan Park on Cliffe Common in Selby in the early hours.

Despite attempts by paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said one of the lines of inquiry was that the man had been attacked on Saturday night or early on Sunday before going to bed.

A force spokesman said a cordon was in place at the caravan park as inquiries continued.

He said witnesses to the possible attack were being asked to contact police.
