Police investigating a murder in Leeds have said the 21-year-old man who died was a Polish national.
A 31-year-old man remains in a stable condition in hospital following the double shooting at a house in Wortley.
West Yorkshire Police said the men were found with wounds at a property on Blue Hill Crescent on Friday evening.
Both were taken to hospital where the 21-year-old man later died. The 31-year-old is being treated for serious injuries to his lower body.
Det Supt Simon Beldon from West Yorkshire Police said detectives believed it "was a targeted and isolated attack".
He said investigations, including a forensic search of the property, were ongoing.
"The investigation of this murder is a top priority for West Yorkshire Police and I want to reassure residents that all necessary resources are being deployed to locate those responsible," said Mr Beldon.
"Incidents of this sort are very unusual for the Wortley area and we have a number of reassurance patrols."
Police continue to appeal for witnesses who were in the area at about 17:30 GMT.
