Drunk driver jailed over Wakefield bus collision

A motorist who drove his car into a bus in Wakefield while drunk has been jailed for three years and four months.

Adrian Duchniak, 31, of Warren Avenue, Wakefield drove the blue VW Golf into a single-decker bus on Doncaster Road, Crofton, in November 2012.

The bus driver and two passengers in the golf were seriously injured.

At Leeds Crown Court Duchniak admitted dangerous driving, inflicting grievous bodily harm and driving while over the legal limit.

In addition to the prison sentence he was also banned from driving for five years.
