Four people arrested in Thorpe murder inquiry

Four people, including two 16-year-old boys, have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a man who was assaulted in Leeds.

The 57-year-old man died in hospital of head injuries after being found by police at a property in Middleton Lane, Thorpe, on Saturday.

On Sunday a 40-year-old man, a woman aged 37 and two teenagers were arrested in Barnsley and Doncaster.

West Yorkshire Police said all four remained in police custody.

A force spokesman said the man was attacked by a number of men who had arrived in a vehicle.

Some of the property's windows were broken.
