Woman found badly injured in car in Chapeltown

A woman is in a critical condition in hospital after being found with serious injuries in a parked car in Leeds.

West Yorkshire Police said the woman, aged 51, was found by an ambulance crew in the car in Mexborough Grove in the Chapeltown area early on Sunday.

The woman, whose name has not been released, is being treated at Leeds General Infirmary.

Officers said a 53-year-old man has been arrested and is being questioned about the incident.
